As a telecommunications professional and documentation specialist my goal is to provide reliable, modern, and integrated media services to enable teaching, learning, research, and outreach.
Biography
My name is William Bowden, a current IT Documentation & Training specialist at Florida Polytechnic University and former Educator for the Polk County School system.
I have always been passionate about visual storytelling and comprehensive instruction. With my degree and experience in the field of communications, I have been able to gain much experience behind the scenes in video production. I have held positions as a Studio Operator and Production Technician in Live TV and have since then moved into the world of Digital Media Education and now Documentation.
I am a firm believer in the concept of always learning – everything is a part of our story and we have to communicate that effectively. With being an educator I have had to stand firm on the truth of a growth mindset. In order to teach there must be a great level of understanding and attention to research in order to truly master the concepts being taught.
My goal is to develop my career in communications and to produce learning content along the way that is professional, user-friendly, and meets the needs of its audience.
